Even if board games aren’t quite your thing, most people still enjoy a little Monopoly on the occasional rainy day, and with the new 3D pieces and game play, there are so many new ways to win! In this new Monopoly you can still get free parking, pass Go, (hopefully not) get sent to jail and more, but additions to what your old set didn’t have, aside from the 3D buildings are new actions on Chance cards, newly named properties, monetary values, hazard buildings and zone permits rather than property deeds for areas in which you’d like to build. With the “electronic trading unit” powered by two AAA batteries in this new version, you can even hold auctions for your properties! In Monopoly City the game has been scaled up to match up with big city standards – no longer do you sell your properties for hundreds or thousands, but you act as the big bosses and manage millions! The board becomes a beautiful metropolis as slowly building upon building is added to the center of the board to form the city, pieces being made of sturdy and attractive bright plastic reminiscent of the newer buildings in world cities of today that definitely didn’t exist around the time that Monopoly first came out! You’ll find that you’ll have to employ new strategies to get through this game that you didn’t use with traditional Monopoly. It’ll be a hit on game night!
